Charleston Housing Market Update (9/13/21)
In terms of number of home sales in Charleston (as of Sept 13, 20201), we are up 19.3% YTD over the same 2020 period. We were up 31.6% YTD at the end of June and only 22.1% up YTD at the end of July. We just don’t have enough homes for sale to keep up with the 2nd half of 2020.
YTD in Charleston, we are up 16.7% in median sales price over the same 2020 period and the median sales price is now $350k! Almost all the MLS areas are up over 10% in median sales price over the same 2020 period (4% is the historical national average percentage rise in median sales price).
