School is out for Summer! There are lots of great activities throughout Charleston during July. There are quite a few Independence Day celebrations scattered about the Lowcountry too. The 10-day Beaufort Water Festival begins on the 16th in the town some think of as “Little Charleston”.  There will be lines on Folly Rd to get out to the beach that was recently rated the # 1 beach in two different magazines.  Kiawah also made Dr. Beach’s list of the top beaches.  Of course, we’ll have minor league baseball at the Joe too (13-18th vs Augusta and 27-Aug 1 vs Columbia).  Get the kids out of the heat at the Terrace Theatre on James Island every Wednesday at 11am where kids under 10 are free!  Here is your incredible July calendar of events for the Charleston area:

The Charleston real estate market continues it’s incredible run.  While 2020 was a record year for Charleston real estate, we are up 35.1% in transactions year to date over the same 2020 period! The median sales price is up 16% over the same period last year. Top Golf will open its North Charleston location next year on International Blvd and employ 300 associates.  Charleston Coffee Roasters is investing $2.2M to expand their operations in Charleston County. Wallet Hub recently announced that SC is the 2nd best state for military retirees to live. Volvo is investing $118M in an expansion to their plant outside of Summerville. This brings the Volvo Car investment in the Lowcountry to more than $1.2B.
