Super Bowl is better when you are a homeowner

Delicious oysters straight from our backyard — that’s what you can expect at the third annual South Carolina Aquarium Good Catch Oysterfest, on Friday. The evening, which begins at 6:30 p.m., highlights fresh hand-selected local oysters, local craft beer, wine, live music and delicious samplings from Good Catch partner restaurants.

The annual Sullivans Island Fire & Rescue Oyster Roast takes place this Saturday from 5-8pm at the Fish Fry Shack on Hennessy Street. Enjoy live music, family activities and plenty of food and drink.

The Town of Summerville host the 17th Annual SPCA Downs Byrd Memorial Shuckin’ & Shaggin’ Oyster Roast 6-10pm @ Summerville Country Club, 400 Country Club Blvd. Dine on the finest oysters, chili, southern fare, and a cash bar – all for a good cause! Bid on silent auction items, dance to shag music, and help support Frances R. Willis SPCA’s lifelong mission of finding homes for all adoptable animals. All proceeds benefit the Frances R. Willis SPCA. Tickets are $30, $35 at the door.

Charleston Music Hall presents a return engagement of 1964 The Tribute, a salute to the early music of the Beatles. Choosing songs from the pre-Sgt. Pepper era, “1964” astonishingly recreates an early 60’s live Beatles concert, with period instruments, clothing, hairstyles, and onstage banter. Show takes place Saturday at 8pm.

Super Bowl Sunday at Wild Blue Ropes Adventure Park
Sun., Feb. 5, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Head to Wild Blue Ropes on Super Bowl Sunday to cheer on your favorite team. Wear your favorite team jersey, of any kind, and climb for $30 a person.

Frothy Beard Comedy Night
Fri., Feb. 3, 7 p.m.

Head to Frothy Beard for the last comedy night in their current location (they move to West Ashley in March). The lineup is TBD, but the night of laughs is always hosted by Shawna Jarrett.

Chase After A Cure

Gaillard Center
The annual Chase After a Cure Gala raises money to fund research and clinical trials that have the potential to impact the lives of pediatric cancer patients. The event will feature hors d’oeuvres by Hamby Catering, entertainment from former American Idol contestant Quiana Parler, and live and silent auctions.
